COOKING CLASS

COOKING CLASS

Today we had a real treat. Thunder and pouring rain when we awoke,  but it cleared by the time we met our chef Laura at the market in the village of Castellini in Chianti to buy fresh produce and a rooster at the butcher
We then went to the wine producing estate of Querceto for the cooking class - the location with rolling hills planted with rows and rows of grape vines is spectacular.
Vino, our beaver mascot, was excited to be learning how to prepare some new recipes
We prepared a full Tuscan meal including an appetizer, pasta course, main course with vegetables and a dessert. We enjoyed the fruits of our labour over lunch, served with the estate’s wines.
We returned to Colle di Val d’Elsa for our last evening there. A great surprise for one of the 4 ladies whose luggage did not make it - her suitcase had been delivered - so now one down, three to go.
Dinner at the local restaurant a few steps from the hotel.
Where did the time go?
